Giving back to our community!

The Sault Roller Girls are dedicated to supporting our local community and charities and we invest our time, effort, and a portion of our event proceeds to local, and sometimes national, charities. There is a soft spot in all of us roller girls, and we are a charitable bunch. Read below to find out more about the charities we've supported.

June 2008 - Superior Community Skatepark Association (Time Donation)

A handful of Sault Roller Girls donated their time to help out the Superior Community Skatepark Association at the Go Skate Boarding Weekend events.

The SCSA is a group that is fundraising to provide the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie with a quality concrete skatepark facility.

In addition to raising funds to help fight cancer, a team of 10 Sault Roller Girls, friends and family walked and roller skated in the Relay For Life.

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight non-competitive relay that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to loved ones. It's a night of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.

The Sault Roller Girls donated boxes of women's clothing, baby clothing, books, home furnishings and various other goods to the Shelter.

About Women In Crisis:
Women In Crisis (Algoma) Inc. is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the eradication of violence against women and children. Their purpose is to provide refuge, support and counselling services to abused women (and their children) and to create a society which tolerates no forms of violence against them, but seeks to establish equality for, and recognition of 'women's value' in all phases of our social structures.
